Welcome to the first blog I have ever written for myself, by myself and for Virtual Executive Services MK. That isn't to say that I haven't written blogs for others, speeches, announcements, media quotes, I could go on and on. This is the first one that is 100% me and mine.
What's in a name?
Virtual (as in I don't offer to come and sit in your office and drink your coffee); Executive (a bit like Executive Assistants - for the business minded professionals); Services (I get paid for my work); MK as I am based in Milton Keynes. I have opted for a very long domain name, but I am adopting the Ronseal approach of doing what it says on my tin. There are lots of new businesses with animal names cropping up lately, even the crustaceans are getting in on the game. I have played it safe as I think the world of virtual services, despite being around for many years now is still slightly unknown territory for some. Freelance professionals continue to be on the increase and it makes perfect sense; I am not part of your headcount, there are no contracts, no pension admin, no perk box benefits and I don't care if there are no teaspoons left in the office kitchen. Being virtual means I set side time for agreed projects, on agreed timescales at a pre-agreed rate. I can dedicate and manage that time uninterrupted by office chit chat, water cooler gossip and meetings about meetings.
How does it work?
We discuss what needs doing over the phone or on email. We agree the timescales and fee, then I get cracking and give updates as and when required. We can set a cap on the number of hours a project should need, or have an on-going agreement of weekly or monthly hours for which you require my services. I will invoice weekly at this rate, if there are any additional expenses such as premium telephone rate calls or the need to travel or make any purchases relating to a project such as postage this will be agreed at the start of the project.

Simple, I am very good. I am fortunate to have worked directly with a variety of business leaders from Sunday Times Rich List members to one-man shows. I have worked with the humble and the demanding, the wonderfully structured and organised to the "can I have it today?" types. My point is everyone is different and every business is different, I like to think I've seen it all, but no doubt there is more to come. I am a logical thinker with great problem solving skills, attention to detail and a big communicator. I like to get stuck in and get satisfaction from doing a good job. I am very reliable, honest and consistent.
Where have I come from?
You can find me on LinkedIn and have a look for yourself. I have been involved in Marketing throughout my career, but also lettings, outreach work for the NHS and local volunteering. My Marketing career has taken me from the private to the public sector, in software, services and manufacturing.

I am here to help take a load off. If you find yourself thinking/saying "I have better things to do with my time" get in touch. Market research, price comparisons, booking travel all take time from trawling the internet to calling suppliers.
